Trinity Methodist Church, Biggleswade
Like the massively interesting person that I am, I decided to go and check out the local history society. It turns out that they’ve just moved from their previous location to the Baptist church, which was pretty fun to draw. When the lights came back up, I was amused to find that the walls and ceiling were painted various shades of pink.
Mike Perry gave an interesting talk about finding sources for local history, and he was filled with misgivings about the recent trend towards digitalisation of local resources. Whilst larger historical databases are accessible, smaller sources are way down the list for allocated resources.
Yeah, that’s how I spend my weeknights. I was the youngest person in the room by about a decade, I reckon, and if the guy who fixed the projector hadn’t have stuck around for the talk I would have been the youngest guy by about two decades, easy.

Enjoy being the youngest person in a room. Sadly, it won’t last for ever. Great sketch :)
Did this church have any stained glass? I love how there are all sorts of different styles of them–growing up, we had 1 huge one (that my uncle made) of bleubonnets(the TX state flower) in our kitchen, so I have quite the penchant for them.
