This is the Modern Era

Whilst trying to blog, I was told that what I wrote should be professional. Great, just what we need; more professional people, spouting the same junk that made everybody sick of listening to politicians. In fact, I’ve been thinking of becoming a politician, but I’m not sure the other councillors would get it when I turn to them and say “the Jedi cannot be trusted…”

Anyway, robes make me look fat.

The Cutting Edge of Stupidity

I have to say that every time I bump into academicia, I’m dismayed by how they use computers. Most recently, when I noticed that the application form for a post at a cutting edge technology research unit was a PDF form that I should print out and fill in, rage at these mortar-boarded tossers filled my heart. No word as yet on whether I should send the form by pidgeon, but I’m afraid my typewriter broke in 1997, leaving me tragically unable to fill in the form.

No, not “Hello World”

If I ever invent a programming language, the first lesson will not result in ‘hello world’ as it’s glorious outcome. The first outcome will be a smell of crispy flesh, and a whimpering lab assistant who always looks at you with fear in his eyes.
